Two good friends and experienced therapists, Alison McCleary and Jordan Pickell explore the topics that were either shied away from or dismissed because they were too big, too nuanced, too risky, or too uncomfortable to address in school or even in supervision. We want to inspire and encourage new therapists to think more deeply, show up more fully, and find humour and self-compassion in navigating the messier parts of being a therapist.
Alison McCleary is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and recently completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Alison approaches her therapy work with an existential lens, supporting people of all ages in her rural community, beautiful Terrace, British Columbia.
Jordan Pickell (she/her) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor in private practice on unceded Coast Salish territory known as Vancouver, Canada. She approaches her work with a humanistic anti-oppressive lens. You can follow Jordan’s writing about relationships and trauma on Instagram at @jordanpickellcounselling.
